Rescued: Hot Dog

June 2011

Hot Dog was just a little guy, a Quarter Horse colt of about 3 or 4 months when he got here [2011].

His given name is something like Hot Diggity Dog, but we decided to shorten it for brevity's sake.

He has Hot Doggin', Dash For Cash and Beduino in his bloodlines.

His mama is Winnie. When he's old enough, we'll wean him and geld him.

Gelding studs is an expense the rescue can really use some help with. If you are interested in helping us prevent more unwanted horses, please consider donating toward our medical expenses for gelding. Thanks!

We have made sure he's been handled and taught to respect our presence and our space.

Dereke (our trainer) plans to begin work with him this summer (2018).

Talk about another hidden scuplture — you can shape this horse any way you want!

Beautiful bay colt, now all grown up and ready to train.

Hot Dog got himself castrated in fall of 2011 and at the same time he had a hernia removed.

Hot dog is all grown up now. He is considered 'greenbroke' at this time. He would be the perfect project or 4H horse.
