We found Harmony at an auction and couldn't leave her to that fate.

She is a flea-bitten grey Thoroughbred mare in her 20's. She stands 16 hands tall.

She has a good deal of weight to put on yet, but we believe she'll be a looker when she's up to snuff.

Five months later she is doing very well.

Harmony was not trained, she had probably only been used as a brood mare.

As a result, she was liable to walk over someone, as she had no halter or lead training, or even kick if approached from her blind side.

Due to her age, and the safety issues she presented to visitors who were not aware of her lack of training, we decided it was most humane to euthanize Harmony. We love and protect horses, but the safety of the people who come out to volunteer and support us is will always be our top priority.
