She is responsive to body position, not as much to reining, but we are working on that!

March 2017

She was offered to us for placement because her owners could no longer care for her. She is one of approximately 2000 Icelandic horses in the United States. Once they leave their native country, they are not allowed to return in an effort to keep the breed pure.

She arrived in excellent condition.

This horse was well cared-for and well-trained. It shows!

She is great with leading kids on her back. We can put anyone on her and lead them around—including young children—with dogs at her heals. She is in our sanctuary because she does so well with children we use her for Victory in the Valley Cancer Camp as well as Ambucs Family day!
