Iskra was rescued from a kill pen in Texas. A young lady saw his story, fell in love with him and rescued him. Two days after his arrival, the boarding facility called stating Iskra was sick and had to be moved immediately. Iskra’s new owner called in desperate need of Hope. She hired someone to transport Iskra from her boarding facility in northeast Kansas to Wichita. Iskra was ill and injured. Surgery was performed on his shoulder and he is expected to make a full recovery. This sweet gentle boy stands for daily wound cleaning and seems to understand he is now in good hands. Iskra will need several months of rehab and an evaluation before he is ready for adoption.
