Rest In Peace, Strawberry.

Rest In Peace, Strawberry.

Strawberry was a registered sorrel and white paint. She came to us in May of 2006 at the age of 16.

She stood 15.2 hands high and her registered name was "Levan's Strawberry".

She had horrid sores on her legs due to malnutrition.

We treated them, but they refused to heal.

Rest In Peace, Strawberry.

What's more, she could barely walk due to her feet not being tended to in years

Rest In Peace, Strawberry.

Ande found her at the El Dorado sale and knew there was something about her.

Rest In Peace, Strawberry.

The something about her that Ande suspected turned out to be true.

Strawberry was pregnant.

Rest In Peace, Strawberry.

She was covered in ticks and lice, her hair was so thin you could see her skin.

She had an infection in her eye—which led to blindness.

So thin and sickly, yet she carried a new life inside her.

Sadly she was just too sick to make a healthy recovery, but before she died she did leave behind a little legacy, a healthy colt named Thunder.
